No. 38 Stoneware Clay is formulated from choice clays for plasticity and whiteness, plus fire-clay for more body, this clay has an excellent body, even when throwing larger pieces. This high-fire clay, with no grog, is great for hand-building and wheel throwing. Iron-bearing fire clays produce dark gray spots when fired in both reduction and oxidation. Recommended glaze firing temperature is Cone 10, firing range from Cone 5 to Cone 10. Moist form. Nontoxic. Full package weight is 50 lbs. in two 25-lb. bags.
