The comprehensive AquaSprouts Garden system is ideal for enabling students to explore the interconnectedness of biological and environmental sciences.
This fully functioning aquaponics system allows you to repurpose a standard 29-gallon aquarium into an innovative, self-sustaining growing ecosystem. The custom-molded grow bed is supported by a sustainably sourced birch wood frame.
Once the system is set up, the fish waste provides the nutrients that plants need to grow, while the plants purify the water. This closed-loop system illustrates the principles of ecology and offers a real-world application of sustainability practices.
Whether you’re teaching the nitrogen cycle, water chemistry, or plant biology, this system serves as a live laboratory, allowing students to observe, experiment, and learn through direct interaction.
This unit is equipped with a submersible pump, Wi-Fi timer, grow media (porous clay pebbles), grow bed, wooden support frame, and light bar for easy mounting of grow lights.
Note: System does not include a grow light itself. The light bar is designed to accommodate a variety of grow lights, allowing you the flexibility to select a light that best suits your plants' needs.
