Creature Seeker Pond Student Kit

What could be more fun for students than exploring the life in and around a pond ecosystem? With this inquiry-based student kit, students will use microscopes and photographic keys to identify creatures in the water, relate organisms found to the health of the ecosystem, keep records of their results, and more. National Science Education Standards met with this kit are: Science as Inquiry, Life Science, Science in Personal and Social Perspectives, and History and Nature of Science. Includes one field trip collection container, one 3-1/2-gal. pail, nylon pipette, four petri dishes, four plastic spoons, four 3-oz. plastic cups, one two-way microscope, four hand magnifiers, 8 in. x 12 in. plant trays, one 4 in. plastic forceps, one dry-erase marker, one nylon ladle, student insect net, three different laminated keys to macroinvertebrates sheets, and collection instructions.
