A combination of precision and durability. The accurate steel needle rotates on precision pivots. The liquid-filled chamber stabilizes the needle quickly for fast readings and also cushions against impacts. The compass and scale have luminous points. The compass (1-3/4 in. dia.) is mounted on a clear, strong plastic base (5-1/2 in. x 2-1/2 in.), features a graduated 0°-360° scale in 2° increments, and has a declination correction scale. The base has centimeters, inches, 1:50000, 1:25000, and meter scales. The base also has a built-in magnifier and four stencils for drawing three circles and one triangle. Comes with a lanyard.
