The Forage Sampler, 18 in. Round Shank is a practical tool for agricultural education, allowing high school and advanced students to collect forage samples for feed analysis. Includes: 18 in. sampler with standard adapter and round shank for electric operation. 3/8 in. round shank adapter for use with electric drill (electric drill of 1/2 hp or 18-volt capacity is recommended). A dowel plunger is supplied with each unit to remove moist or packed samples. Shank adapters are quickly and easily removed from the tube by depressing a spring-loaded plunger. Fitted with replaceable hardened cutterhead and adapter.

NOTE TIP DESIGN: Because the tip for the Forage Sampler is made of a very hard, brittle steel that can be broken easily by dropping the unit or by hitting a sharp object, we cannot warranty tips. Replacement tips can be purchased separately (C06544). The tip design is the secret to the success of this unit; when we change the material of the design, the performance of the sampler deteriorates. Please take good care of the entire unit, especially the tip, as the tip is not warranted. Made of stainless steel tube 1-1/8 in. dia. x 18 in. L.
