Every forging is made to Gingher’s strict specifications of design and materials. Hot drop-forged shears are double-plated (chrome over nickel) with a hardness range of 54-60 on the Rockwell C scale, depending upon the carbon content employed. To ensure quality standards and consistency, the final polishing, grinding, and setting are all performed in the Gingher factory by Gingher technicians. Each pair of shears is then inspected and tested before leaving the facility. Attention to detail and quality ensures that the Gingher sewing and quilting tool purchased today will work as good as new - even after years of creative use.
