Kemtecâ„¢ Criminalistics Kit
Grades 5–12
Get ready to solve a murder mystery!Â
Using microscopes, measurement, chemical analysis, observation, and deductive reasoning, students examine the clues necessary to solve the murder of Mr. Paul Dudden.
As they work to crack this criminal case, students apply many CSI techniques, including fingerprinting (dusting with carbon powder, dusting with aluminum powder, cyanoacrylate, iodine fuming, and ninhydrin), hair analysis, and identifying drugs, poisons and other chemicals.
Allow 6–8 hours to complete the labs and crime scene analysis. Designed for 24 students working in groups of 4.
