Curriculum enables your STEM/STEAM classroom to get the most out of this block-based, tangible programming tool that allows students to move a robot through an environment by way of a Bluetooth®-enabled command tower and board. The core of the Matatalab system, this set includes the robot car, command tower, control board, 37 coding blocks, 8 obstacles, 3 flags, 3 challenge booklets, and nature map. The curriculum guide provides an overview of Matatalab, the aligned standards covered, and 12 lessons. Lessons are grouped into units, with each unit providing an overview, objectives, teacher preparation instructions, vocabulary list, reproducible worksheets, a closing assessment, extensions, and real-world connections. Each 20-minute lesson offers step-by-step instructions and an activity. Aligned to International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), and K12 Computer Science Network.
