The Nasco Sun Safety Experiment Kit was designed to help students understand the harmful effects of ultraviolet (UV) sun rays, such as sunburn, eye damage, premature aging, and even cancer.
The Energy Beads included in the kit provide a visual representation of how quickly UV rays can affect our skin, changing from white to a rainbow of colors when exposed to sunlight.Â
As students experiment with applying sunscreen to their beads, they’ll see how successfully sunscreen prevents the effects of sun exposure. This engaging, hands-on activity is perfect for health class, science class, summer school, or after-school clubs.Â
