Jeanne Styczinski.
Grades PreK-2 Play along as a child asks their father why the sun shines each day. Using a vivid imagination, the child creates many possible reasons. Does it shine so the chickadees can sing? Or, does it shine so the caterpillars can eat milkweed? Wise Papa plays along, until the end of the story where he reveals a surprise answer and the real reason why the sun shines every day.
