Provides instant readings of the two most important factors in efficient crop production: soil and well water pH and conductivity (EC), which is a reading of soil general nutrient levels. Soil and well water pH that is too acidic or alkaline can have an adverse effect on plant nutrient and water uptake and directly effect the efficiency of fertilizer, herbicides, and pesticides. Soil conductivity is checked before fertilizer application to pinpoint field needs and after fertilization to establish its effectiveness. The combination of field testing pH and EC provides any agricultural operation with a method to optimize chemical applications and minimize operational cost. Range: 0.00 to 14.00 pH, 0.00 to 6.00 mS/cm, 0 to 4,000 ppm. Resolution: 0.10 pH, 0.01 mS/cm, 10ppm. Accuracy: ±0.20 pH, ±2% full scale, ±2% full scale. Calibration: manual one point. Temperature compensation: automatic from 0 to 50° C. Environment: 0 to 50° C/95% RH max. Battery/life: 9V/150 hours (included).
