VSEPR I Molecular Model Kit
Grades 7-12.
Students will make examples of linear, bent triatomic, tetrahedral, and trigonal planar molecules. The accompanying booklet explains the geometry of valence electron pairs based on VSEPR theory and molecular shape using ABE notation. Instructions are given for drawing correct Lewis structures of several molecules, which can then be built with this kit. Includes five white hydrogen atom centers, three blue nitrogen atom centers, four red oxygen atom centers, three green halogen atom centers, two black carbon atom centers, two yellow sulfur atom centers, eight clear PVC single bonds (1-1/4 in.), eight clear PVC double bonds (1-5/8 in.), background information booklet, lab procedure, student response form, and answer key. For 2-4 students.
WARNING: Choking Hazard. Small Parts. Not for children under 3 yrs.
